The Big Assist is on Wednesday, July 11 at 7:00pm
For the third straight year, TCR is set to host the The Big Assist IV, an exhibition game organized by Ottawa Senators player Ryan Shannon, who hails from Darien, and grew up playing at TCR with the former Seacoast Kings.
A total of 700 fans sold out the Darien Ice Rink in 2009 and twice that many filled Terry Conners last summer for the game, which has drawn more than professional players as well as some of the country's best college players for an exhibition game.
Some of the players who taken part in the game in the past include Tampa Bay Lightning forward Martin St. Louis, Philadelphia Flyers forward James Van Riemsdyk, New York Islanders and former Bridgeport Sound Tigers forward Matt Moulson and Detroit Red Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard.
This year's roster is still being finalized.
Tickets are on sale now at OHHF.org, and are also available in Darien and Rowayton at Blueline Sports, Barrett Book Store, Body Tuning and Fairfield County Bank.
